received hundreds of calls dealing with Toyota transmission
shift problems. Toyota
has had bearing problems and is aware of it. It is a
lubrication problem; the transmissions are hard to shift
when cold and are noisy after continuous use. The
problem is magnified when larger tires have been installed, causing

When a gear ratio change has been made to a numerically
lower ratio the pinion is slightly smaller and turns
at a much higher speed. This puts a greater demand
on the gear lubricant. NEO 75-90W
lowers the rear axle temperature by 20% which will
increase bearing and gear life. NEO 75/90
RHD is an ultimate high performance differential
racing oil used by most NASCAR, INDY,
drag racers and off-road teams. It
has a viscosity of 20 wt. motor oil and is designed
to carry 80% more load carrying capacities than its
competitors. Highly
recommended for low gear ratio differentials and transfer

LANCRUISERS
We highly recommend changing out the fluids in
both differentials ASAP in the 80 series Landcruisers ’91-’97.
They are full time 4WD,
weigh about 6000 lbs, and build up a lot of
heat in the differentials. If you’ve priced one of the factory diff
locks lately, you’re looking at $4500
now!

DIFFERENTIAL BREATHER
KIT
When crossing streams, or
any deep water, the Toyota front and rear differential
housings have a tendency to take in large amounts
of water through the stock Toyota breather located
on top of each axle housing. Water causes rapid
wear and early failure to bearings, especially
the pinion bearings. The NWOR differential breather
kit allows safe crossing of high water.
The kit includes a high quality K&N washable
breather, stainless steel hose assembly, and all
necessary hardware.
